About units

Over time, the human body loses some functions, for example, regenerative processes slow down, the amount of collagen and elastane produced decreases, the body loses moisture. This negatively affects the body’s ability to restore cartilage tissue, which is the lining material for the normal functioning of the joints.

Plasma therapy is a method that allows stimulating the body’s restore tissues natural processes. For this, own blood is used, passed through centrifuging, and thus becomes plasma enriched with platelets and growth factors. Plasmolifting stimulates collagen production and tissue regeneration has a significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.

Plasma therapy is used in many areas of medicine and cosmetology, traumatology is no exception.

Indications

Injections of one’s own blood into tissues that require rapid recovery after injury, surgery, or as a result of aging are performed to treat many diseases and pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, such as:

  • osteochondrosis;
  • arthrosis;
  • arthritis;
  • hernia;
  • protrusions;
  • dislocations and fractures of bones;
  • sports injuries;
  • positional injuries (tunnel syndrome, etc.);
  • stretching;
  • injuries of tendons and ligaments.

The procedure is prescribed if the patient has complaints about:

  • intense joint pain;
  • decrease in motor activity;
  • swelling of the joints.

Contraindications

The procedure is not performed in case of acute infectious diseases, the presence of oncology, blood pathologies, and the use of anticoagulants.

How is the procedure carried out?

In anticipation of the procedure, alcohol should not be consumed for three days. Spicy, fried, and fatty foods should be excluded. Immediately before the procedure, a general blood test is performed.

The patient receives venous blood. Then it is centrifuged, that is, divided into fractions. After the blood is converted into a therapeutic medicine, the plasma begins to be injected into the joint cavity. After the injection of the medicine into the joint, the doctor may ask you to perform some simple exercises to better distribute the medicine.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis or without. The patient after medical manipulation does not need hospitalization.

The duration of the procedure (from blood sampling to injection into the joint) is up to 30 minutes.

Within a week after the procedure, you should refrain from:

  • visits to baths and saunas;
  • visits to swimming pools;
  • training in the gym;
  • physiotherapeutic procedures;
  • hot baths.

Advantages of Plasmolifting

The preparation from own blood, obtained as a result of centrifugation, is absolutely safe for the patient, it does not cause side effects and allergies.

The method is suitable for people with allergies to medications because it can completely replace drugs or reduce the burden on the body from their use.

After the procedure, you can return to your normal lifestyle: plasmolifting does not require a rehabilitation period or recovery after the procedure.

Treatment with one’s own blood, enriched with biologically active substances due to mechanical processing, can replace and help avoid surgical treatment.
